My Greatest Writing Triumph
This month we’ve been asked to discuss our greatest triumph as writers. For me it’s a no brainer. My greatest triumph has to be getting stories published. I mean that’s it right? Someone read my story, thought it was somewhat decent and took their time and effort to publish it. In a book. That you can purchase. That has my name right after the word “by”.
Once I even got paid for a story. It’s awesome. I mean, I couldn’t run out and buy a Maserati, but who cares. Something I wrote for fun was purchased and published and now you can buy it on Amazon. Freakin’ sweet!
So yeah, that’s pretty much all I have on this topic. I feel like I may be letting you down by not filling the screen with text. There’s no real nugget of wisdom, let’s be honest, but how much can I wax philosophical about this one? It’s a great feeling and if you’ve already felt it, you know what I mean and if you’ve yet to be published, keep working at it because, let me tell ya, it’s totally worth it.
